Free holiday for one lucky couple tweeting for #GigatownNelson
Ten-day holiday is on offer for the winner of a Gigatown Nelson competition targeted at out-of-towners
Do you want a free trip to Nelson, with nearly all your expenses paid? You can win a ten-day blitz around Nelson and Tasman with free airfare, accommodation, meals and activities if you support #GigatownNelson.
Nelson is a finalist in the national competition Chorus is running to award one gigabit internet speeds to the first community in New Zealand. Porirua finished the first part of the competition in sixth place, right behind Nelson which was in fifth. After, Porirua threw its support behind Nelson’s bid for the finals, which finish at the end of November.
Glenda Buschl, Gigatown Nelson team member, says that Porirua really got behind Nelson when the finals opened and she hopes to see many entries for this prize come from Porirura.
“We’ve had fantastic support in Porirura from their Gigatown team and I know they are pulling for us. We want to return the favour with an amazing trip to our part of the country.”
The competition is open for all out-of-towners who register to support Nelson at www.gigatown.co.nz. The more you do to support #GigatownNelson, the better your chances of winning.
All entrants will go in the draw to win two return tickets from Wellington, a Road Abode 6 Berth Campervan and complimentary stay in Pohara and Motueka Top 10 Holiday Parks, as well as dining at various restaurants from Nelson to Kaiteriteri and out to Golden Bay. The winner will also visit the Abel Tasman National Park.

Everyone who registers their support will go in the draw with one chance to win. Bonus entries are on offer for residents who tweet for #GigatownNelson, complete the Gigatown quiz for Nelson, and ask their friends to do the same. The more entries you have, the better your chances for winning.
