Shine contributes to city plan
Shine's vision is that young people in Porirua will shine. This priority is now firmly stated in the draft Long Term Plan for the city which proposes that children and young people will be at the centre of our city decisions. Check it out here.
Speakers impress 
The annual  Book Fair raised much needed funds for worthy projects. The inaugural North Island Rotary Best Speaker Awards helped to integrate our young people with disabilities into the community.

Tawa Rotarians recently donated two compost bins to augment the raised gardens they had built previously to enable residents at Longview Rest Home to grow their own vegetables.
